I cook just about every night, but on Thanksgiving and Christmas we order out.
I get to try different foods that I may not make myself. I get to spend more time with my family. We are still at home, so our routine does not change. (Except clean up is a breeze.) I still have holiday traditions with my kids...caroling, baking cookies, making ornaments, driving around looking at lights, making homemade hot chocolate after decorating the tree, Meadowlark gardens...etc.) My kids are not ruined because I don't spend countless hours 2 days out of the year in the kitchen making everything from scratch. They want a mom who is not stressed out and can spend time with them. |
