rubbish? Now there's abuse! |
I don't think that will happen any time soon. |
I think it's happening now - slowly. |
Nah, if it's factual then it's not abuse. |
This is factual: sky daddy = our father who art in heaven and hinky =unreliable. This is sarcasm: "Nah, if it's factual then it's not abuse." |
Sorry, your particular sandbox doesn't have the kids who are good with language, if you're a typical specimen of the toddlers there. Off to the jungle gym. |
| Ah, all these people fighting God. Or trying to. Give up already. You can't win whether there is God or no God. Acceptance of what you can't change is the only way. The sooner you get it, the easier your life will be. All this defiance seems childish, grow up. |
| I find it disconcerting that no one here mentioned that unless you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, your prayers probably aren't being heard. God answers those who have a relationship with His son, and if we ask things in His name, according to His will, then He hears and answers us, as a loving Father to His children. If we've rejected His son, we are still God's enemies. Now, God is kind and merciful, and He does many things to get our attention so that we will repent of our sins and turn to Him. After that, His work in our life is to bring us into even closer relationship with Him and to help us live a holy life and bring others to Christ. To the OP, there is some good advice on here about perhaps the LORD having a good purpose for the events you're describing, and you don't say whether you're a believer in Christ. If not, turn to Him, confess your sins and put your trust in Christ for His forgiveness, and you will have a relationship with God such as you cannot imagine. |
^^ I suspect this is written by an atheist trying to make believers look simple with the message that there is only one authentic god and there is only one correct way to worship him |

God does answer our prayers, but not always the way we want. Or we will see the answer/reasoning later, much later.
Here is my stories (I have more, but going to tell you just two): My first and biggest love happened in my mid-20's. The guy was the one (at least I thought back then), we lived together for 3 years, I even was pregnant (and had miscarriage) and he left me. I could not understand it back then, was praying, was ready to do anything to get him back. Fast forward 15 years later, I am happily married with two great kids, house, job, etc. I found out last year that that guy received life sentence for shooting his wife and one of her children (and left other child disabled). I googled the article in the news to see that the woman is a copy of me -- short blond hair, skinny, short. That was the time when I realized why God didn't answer my prayers. And thanked him. Because He knows what is the best for you. Second story happened at my job. I was working for the government agency for 6 years. Had two young children back then, was nursing both of them for more than a year each child, so didn't have much time to socialise after work with colleges and boss. Found out that the guy (who was hired almost a year after me) who was constantly hanging out in the bars with all bosses got promoted. Was so pissed off! Kept asking the God all the time how does this happened. Quit the job (it was more emotional, rather than rational decision back then). But three years later, I am so better off financially. I was able to travel the world with my kids. Now I am thanking the God every day that I did not got promoted back then. Have I got promoted, I would probably be still there in the same office with the same boring job. I am truly believe that God does answer our prayers and he knows what is the best for us. Just be patient, and you will see that things are happen for reason. Good luck! |
You can't be serious. |
Guess that poor woman who got shot by your ex-boyfriend wasn't favored by God the way you were. |
| I don't know anything about that woman and her relations with God. I can only speak about my prayers that I thought were un-answered. |
do you think bad relations with God could mean bad things happening to a person? |
Sometimes really good things happen to bad people or people who don't even believe in God - so are not praying to him. I wonder what God's role in that could be. |
