We didn't have this problem with our other kids but we want something unique (not in the top 20!) but not crazy. It's a boy! HELP. PLEASE.

You've only had nine months.

Our short list was Alec, Cole, and Jonas (ended up picking the latter). My husband also liked Miles, though I wasn't as on board. I really liked Elias, but he wasn't a fan.

I think that the following are under used currently:

Donald
Ronald
Daniel
Michael
Anthony/Antony

Forget the name. You do not need one to give birth, you can leave it blank and think about it for a few months

Daniel, Michael, and Anthony were in the top 20 given to boys in 2013.

This link can be helpful if you're trying to figure out what's popular now: http://www.ssa.gov/cgi-bin/popularnames.cgi
My kids are in the 100-200 range, and we've only run into two other kids who share their names if that helps to give you an idea of their popularity. There are a lot of lovely names in this range that are familiar but not too common: Vincent, Max, Leo, Miles, Colin, Timothy, Richard, Victor, Edward, Patrick, George, Theodore, Oscar, Abraham, Ezekiel, Kenneth, Everett, Calvin, Paul, ...

If you keep going down the list, you can find names that are even less common.
