When (and how) did reading click for your kid?

At this age, I probably would pursue a basic evaluation to make sure she is not struggling with a learning disability that is making the process of learning to read extra challenging for her. If she is determined not to have a learning disability, then just encouraging reading and the love of stories will help and she'll grasp it when she is ready. If she is dealing with a learning disability, then treating that - either through alternate teaching methods, or skill building, or accessible educational materials would be the way to go.
