Hated that movie. Sappy.

Loved Awakenings, Good Will Hunting, and Mork and Mindy.

Rest in peace Robin Williams. You were such a talent. I also feel sad and shocked to hear this news.

"This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings," said Williams' wife, Susan Schneider. "I am utterly heartbroken."

Please have compassion. So sad,

Once again, RIP.

This news has depressed me more then I would have thought. How bad it must have been for him to take his life. So sad.

Depression is not a demon. It's an illness.

Pp is talking about his drug and alcohol addictions.

+1 Me too. Not sure why. Liked him a lot and posted previously but this just makes me so sad.

He started drinking again to self-medicate his depression and anxiety. Illnesses. Not demons.

So ironic that some of the most well known comedians that make us l as laugh and forget about life for a few moments are they themselves are sad and depressed inside.
Dave Chapelle had a meltdown (though fortunately didn't take his life), Phil Hartman in a murder suicide, and the list goes on.

I don't know why this is so shocking, but it is.

I feel for his family, his friends.

I'm one of the many who find this very saddening. He will be missed for sure.

Na Nu, Na Nu.

Not to go off on a tangent, but wasn't Phil Hartman the one who was murdered?

Back on topic, so so sad to learn about Robin Williams. He truly was a comedic genius, and his talents will be greatly missed. HE will be greatly missed.

A true genius. It really does feel as if a light has gone out.

At the same time, it feels as if this were inevitable, as if someone fired a gun when he was a teenager, and he is just now being hit.

i heard he was bipolar. but i wonder what put him over the age
Anonymous
He had herpes and heart surgery...both of which are linked to depression...but bipolar disorder likely came on when he was an older teen/young adult.

What makes you say that?

And Dave Chapelle didn't have a meltdown. He walked away from his show due to creative differences.
