You might want to read this http://www.foreignpolicyjournal.com/2010/10/26/the-myth-of-the-u-n-creation-of-israel/ if you think the UN "created" Israel.

They question was Muslima, do you recognize Israel's right to exist? And I'll add another, is Hamas a terrorist organization?

I recognize Palestine's right to exist. I don't believe Hamas is a terrorist organization, they have a military wing that has done terrorist acts that I am against. I have said it many times here, I do not support everything Hamas does, but they are way more than their military wing. Fact : the UN doesn't recognize Hamas as a terrorist organization.

So do I. But I do not recognize any government's right to attack civilians. The Hamas Rockets attack indiscriminately. Israel has a right to exist. As does Palestine. So does the US, Egypt, Syria, Turkey, etc.

Canada does not have a right to attack the US....Russia does not have a right to attack Ukraine. Palestine does not have a right to attack Israel. Israel does not have a right to attack Palestine. However, all countries can defend them selves. Israel does have a right to secure borders.

Does Israel have a right to exist?

If not, go away.

Muslima refuses to answer whether or not she believes that Israel has a right to exist. I have seen the question directed at her on a few of these threads, but never an answer.

Thank you for responding. I believe that most Israelis do believe in a two state solution.

A majority of Palestinians oppose a 2-state solution.

WASHINGTON – A clear majority of Palestinians in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip oppose a two-state solution to end their struggle with Israel, according to a poll released on Wednesday.

Sixty percent of those polled, including 55% in the West Bank and 68% in Gaza, reject permanently accepting Israel’s existence and instead suggest their leaders “work toward reclaiming all of historic Palestine, from the river to the sea.”

Two-thirds of those polled support continued “resistance” against the Jewish state. Consequentially, those who say they support a two-state solution view such a move as “part of a ‘program of stages’ to liberate all of historic Palestine later.”

The survey, conducted throughout the Palestinian territories, was commissioned by the Washington Institute for Near East Policy and was conducted by a leading Palestinian pollster from June 15 to June 17.

The Washington Institute characterized the poll’s results as a sudden, hardline shift within the Palestinian community. It also presented the pragmatism revealed in the minutia of the survey: 80% of Palestinians would “definitely” or “probably” be in favor of greater job opportunities in Israel, and 70% of Gazans strongly favor Hamas maintaining its cease-fire with the IDF – despite generally favoring resistance.

The institute’s scholars concluded from the report that “US policy should seriously consider abandoning all hope for now of a permanent Israeli-Palestinian peace deal,” and instead should “focus on immediate steps to lower tensions” and on improving conditions on the ground.

Direct talks between Israel and the Palestinians, brokered the United States, broke down in April after nine months of negotiations.

The State Department’s special envoy to that effort was Martin Indyk, founder of the Washington Institute.

Actually, many / most Israeli's agree with this, but Hamas does not. If both sides would use this as the starting point, there could be a solution.

Israel would be much better off if it did not have to spend on defense....If the money that is spent on attacking Israel was spent on improving Palestine, that would be good for both sides.

Unanswered was whether you recognize Israel's right to exist....

Is has forfeit its right to exist in it current form. One state solution with human right for all the people in Israel including the occupied territories.

I dont think you get to decide that a country has "forfeited" its right to exist.

But as we all know, a one state solution = the destruction of Israel. In a one state solution, the Palestinians will quickly outnumber the Jews and we have, unfortunately, countless examples of how Jews are treated in Arab/Muslim states.

But you still havent answered the question of whether you believe Israel has the right to exist. And if the answer is no, then you are basically calling for the genocide of the 7 million Jews currently living there.

You do not get to decide if the palistinians have basic human right or not. If in your world the only way Palistinians can have human rights is by the destruction of Israel, so be it. The destruction of Israel will have no impact on the human rights of Jews. The time of the two state solution has pasted.

A viable two-state solution was never on the table. Palestinians are blamed for rejecting a two-state solution that no self-respecting country would take.

Yes, but what two-state solution? Israelis have been made to believe they can have calm and peace without paying the price - namely, relinquishing grabbed lands, giving up illegally seized water resources and generally living in much more cramped quarters. Israel wants a "two-state solution" without giving up settlements, Jerusalem, right of return, a contiguous Palestine state etc. The two-state solution on the table was a bantustan with no real sovereignty but now Palestinians are bad guys for rejecting it?

perhaps Israel does not want a 2 state solution or peace. Current situation is unsustainable in the long term, but when people feel threatened they unite and nobody dares criticize the government. And America will just increase funding. What is there to loose?

oh I see you point...Israel can only exist if the Palestinians have no rights. What an evil country. We all know Israel is the terrorist state. Soon we start arresting people who support the terrorist state of Israel.

19:06, you Hamas dirtbag. Go back and crawl into your terrorist tunnels. The Pals are getting what they deserve - the destruction of their country. They elected Hamas, so they get a war every few years. Fight on IDF - defeat the bloodthirsty mongrels!
