Did Girl Scout sleep away camp - Camp Winona

Very positive experience for a first time camper away from home. The counselors are very enthusiastic.

Flush toilets, real dining hall with air conditioning, nice pool, can drive right up to cabins, only an hour drive from DC.

DC, 7, really enjoyed Camp Levine and Adventure Theatre Musical Theatre camp. Both very well run.

DD did Kettler ice skating camp and loved it. She did gymnastics through arlington county and loved that less but I think she just doesn't like gymnastics quite as much as ice skating; it's a pretty good camp. She liked magic camp through arlington county okay, but it was expensive and not something I's so again. Right now she's doing art camp through arlington county and loves that.

Norwood Elementary School in Bethesda. Many activities to choose from and they have lots of outdoor play time. Teachers are well experienced and nice. The counselors are great too. They have a lot of staff.

Summer camp @ Norwood.

+1. We've done this camp two years in a row and it's been great.

I recommend Bach to Rock. They have band, glee and early childhood camps. Full day and half day. https://b2rmusic.com

First grader really enjoyed Landon Girls day camp - different sport every day which was good for her to get introduced to stuff - tennis, soccer, archery, lacrosse. and swimming each day. Plus downtime inside with arts and crafts and theater. i do NOT recommend the Landon preschool day camp - no communication with teachers or director, left my daughter alone to wait for car pickup, like by the driveway where all the cars pull up and down! And she had peed her pants one day and no one noticed. Couldn't get a return phone call, even after emailing them. But they are run by two different people.

We did Waterfront Academy's Spanish immersion Summer Camp last year for a couple of weeks and the kids had a great time (DD - 3, DS - 5). We will be doing it again this year.

I saw some not-so-great reviews for Beauvoir camps, but they were from several years ago. Any more recent takes on that camp?
