We have one kid at GDS and another at a different school, and we were late picking up the second kid because of this. Any other parents have a strategy for navigating this? And no, we don't have a nanny or grandparent to send to pick up one of the kids, and we don't want to enroll one kid in an after school program just to deal with this. Thanks!

You could look into after school for one of your children so you are not feeling so rushed, but I would try to find a family or families that live in your area and make a carpool arrangement first. When mine was in the lower school I tried to get there early to avoid the long carpool wait as carpool was not an option because of where we lived.

Current GDS parent here, also with kids at different schools. I think the first two weeks or so are really hard at GDS until people settle into their routines. My strategy is this: I hit the GDS carpool on the later side (after I pick up other kid), so I get there between 3:30-340 and I sail right through.
