I'd say 90% of our meals, but if you talking about EVERYTHING from scratch then much less. I make some parts from scratch, but rarely make my own pasta or pasta sauce or bake my own bread.
Every day! Not for financial reasons but for health. Wish we could eat out more but I just can't count on restaurants to serve fresh and preferably organic all the time. I'm not even talking about cheap family restaurants. Even medium or higher budget food places seem to start cutting corners now.
5-6 days a week
Pretty much every day - I love to cook.
might be worth the effort for the sake of your and your kids health maybe? Little men in cars bring lots of crappy "food" and it doesn't taste all that good either. Better off with a bowl of Cheerios and a fruit. Pure nastiness. |
I make our food most meals, most days (we eat out or o take out maybe twice a month). But home cooked can range from super easy (heat up hot dogs) to more elaborate.

We eat out once a month and order out maybe once or twice a month, and I cook the rest of the time. I cook healthy meals, and it's faster for me to cook something when I get home from work than for us to go somewhere to eat. It saves a lot of money, too.
