6-7 nights a week, although 1-2 or those nights are usually something semi-prepared (veggie burgers, ravioli). These days we only go out to eat 1-2 times a month, but have dinner at friends homes more often. Before kids, we went out most weekend nights.
We all pack lunches, and breakfasts are at home but I'd only really call our weekend breakfasts "homecooked". The rest are mostly just 'assembled' (cereal, apples and peanut butter) or reheated weekend leftovers. Both my husband and I enjoy cooking though and we're trying to be frugal. |
| We eat homemade almost always. The kids get a hot meal at daycare. Packed lunches for the adults. We'll take the kids to the McDonald's play space about once per month. Otherwise, it's homemade meals. |

Often 3x/day.
breakfast is always homecooked... if cooking includes hardboiled eggs or pb toast
lunch is generally leftovers or cobbled together something. Dinner is almost always homecooked. Probably 3-4 nights/week it's "real" home cooking, like meat + starch + veg. Other nights it's homecooked scrambled eggs or homecooked leftovers or something, haha. That's just me, though... DH maybe eats 3 homecooked meals/week. DD gets homecooked breakfast 2x/week, and dinner every night. Does daycare lunch count? It's homecooked by them. |

| Every meal except dinner on Friday and lunch on Saturday. I cook ahead on weekends and pack lunches. And yes, I do work full time. |
| Most meals. We go out maybe 2 or 3 times a month. Even extras--like a cup of coffee at starbucks or a frozen yogurt from a shop or whatever, are rare. I think I went to Starbucks 3 times in 2013. |
| Three times a day. We eat out once every 2-4 months. |
| Of 21 meals a week, probably 18. Most likely lunch out at work if we don't have time to pack or have no leftovers worth eating. But dinner ? almost always at home. Out to dinner maybe once every couple of weeks. |
| Personally, I eat out 12 meals a week. |
| Most days for dinner--we eat out or get takeout twice a week, max. |
|
approx 2 nights per week.
now that im about to go on maternity leave hopefully i will have more time during the day to cook for my family. the 2 year old will remain in daycare while i take care of the newborn at home. hopefully this baby will allow me to cook and possibly clean during the day. literally couldn't get anything done with high needs DC 1 |
| Every day. Breakfast, pack lunch (DH) or eat at home (me & DD), dinner. Eat out or get takeout 2-3 times/month, I get breakfast or lunch out with DD 2-3 times/month. Lunch is usually sandwich, chips, and fruit, and dinners can be pretty simple (chicken, rice, veg). |
|
6 or 7 days a week. We get takeout a few times a month.
We also pack lunches 100% of the time. |
| dinner -- about 5x, but most of it is easy... I cant cook so its bag salad and then something like pasta and sauce or chicken nuggets. |
| Always. |
