| ANything with the nickname Ro is my fave. I don't know why but I find that nickname sexy! |
| I really like Neil and Jai. Easy to pronounce as well. |
Dear racist asshole, why must you do this on EVERY single thread looking for Indian names? It's not funny. |
Although I agree that Varun ought to be easy for non-Indians to pronounce, I know from personal experience that at least one non-Indian couldn't get it right for a whole school year. I don't know why. |

I really like the names Kavi! Here is my not so short list.
Aarav Aarnav Aayan Ayush Arth Darsh Harsh Kavi Krish Parth Prish Prem (Praem) Som Soham (Sohum) Sparsh Sthir Zain |
| Kumaran |
| Dhruv |
|
Jay
Ravi Rahul Rohan Sahil Shail Just bear in mind that names like Rohan or Ravi will be mispronounced as Ro-HAAN or RAAH-vi. Not sure if the solution is to spell them Rohun or Ruvi. Looks weird, but the mispronounciation is annoying. |
| Vikram and Jai are my faves. |
Kiran sounds like a girl name. |
Prasad, Dinesh, Mohan - are very old fashioned. Karan - will be pronounced as Karen by Americans so it will be a girl's name. Choose names that will work well both in India and here. Make sure that even if americans shorten it, it will sound all right. So Ishaan can be shortened to Shan or Shawn. Siddharth can be shortened to Sid etc. Secondly write the name out and ask an American to pronounce it. Ask their opinion about what it reminds them of. Write and also run a spell check to see if it changes it to something altogether different. Some names Rahul Rohit Jai Shaan Ishaan Mihir Armaan Jayant Suhail Vardaan Ashish Safal Vivek Varoon Tarush Samarth Arjun Sudhir |
