They are on sale. I am a size 12 or 14, and the XL is fine for me. Maybe a little loose.

Thanks! I'll keep my eye out for them in case they come back in stock.

Not sure why they are out of stock online - they always have them in the store. Check it out next time you're at target.

Also - get some tech tees if you don't have them. I sweat a lot and the thought of wearing cotton is now repulsive. Again, target brand stuff is great; you can get tees for 10-15 each. Back in the day, I had to spend $30 apiece, and the target ones are awesome!

You have an awesome attitude, btw - join myfitnesspal and I'll cheer you on

I wish I could find a mom running group in Rockville. Only way I ever run is with others.

You might want to check out the Montgomery County Road Runners programs - they have both a walking 5k program and a running 5k program, just starting now... http://www.mcrrc.org/5k-running-program I've done a few of their training programs (before kids) and they have always been great. You get grouped with folks that are at the same pace with you, and folks often meet up outside of training times, or long after programs are done!

In the spring, there's a program for just women, training for the Run for the Roses 5k.

Go OP go! I just started the couch to 5k program too, and am somewhere in week 2. It feels so good to run - I love the feeling of tired muscles afterwards.

I've also been doing some exercise challenges with friends of mine online - right now it's an Ab Challenge month, so we alternate days of doing various things. Many have never done this stuff before - we just look for instructions on youtube or whatever and put them on our calendars each day for a month! We've been doing (day 1) - 30 bicycle crunches. 30 sec plank, 30 sec mountain climbers; (day 2) - 20 reverse crunches, 1 min burpees, 20 supermans.

Here are some similar ideas: http://30dayfitnesschallenges.com/ I find that the 30 day thing helps keep me motivated - it's not so long to do something, and the exercises are usually quick.

I have a massive ass and stomach jiggle and these pants keep everything in place nicely while I run/workout. I have 3 pair! (well 6, but 3 are too big now ) i workout 6 or 7 days and they get washed a LOT. Every pair still looks brand new.

OP-just ignore!!!

(From OP) Thanks. It's okay - I have thick skin. Or is that thick fat? Whatever. Either way, I knew I'd get some trolls.

OP - you are awesome. I'm a 50 mile per week runner trying to come back from an injury and feeling sad. This thread inspires me to stop feeling sorry for myself.

OP I suggest making sure to invest in good support bras and good shoes. It will make a night and day difference. I was a long time runner before kids and then had 2 years of no running. When I went back, it shocked me how much harder it was to get into the feel great runners zone because my boobs were flapping one way,my belly was flappy the other way, and I'm not sure what my butt was doing. My feet were getting pounded. Since I had been a runner before I realized this was getting in the way of good breathing and posture which makes a huge difference. I found that the higher end support bras that include a full tank which helps support your belly made a difference. If its too tight, it will affect your breathing.
