Hard to beat Williams. |
Radford University, Radford, Virginia.
Specifically, the central, older part of campus is picturesque; mature magnolia trees, original (circa 1910) campus buildings (library, alumni house, science building) well integrated with newer buildings that parallel the university's growth from a small, two-year normal (teacher training) school to the coed university it is today. Easily-walkable campus, too. |
We took a drive through Pepperdine last summer while driving up the coast because DD wanted to see where Zoe 101 had been filmed. Great views but the campus itself pretty blah, I thought.
Miami of Ohio is pretty, but I liked UVA and UNC Chapel Hill better. Sounds like Virginia has lots of nice campuses, unlike Maryland state schools. Anyone have a Maryland state or private school to add to the list? |
I think Mount St. Mary's in Emmitsburg, MD is very pretty, but not as pretty as most of the ones previously mentioned. |
I just read through this whole list and cannot believe no one has mentioned:
The University of Notre Dame |
Someone already mentioned St Mary's. |
Really? The highway cuts the campus in 2 and the buildings are very blah. My DC went to soccer camp there for a couple of years and I thought it was really an unattractive campus. |
+1. |
Princeton
Pepperdine UNC |
Notre Dame and St. Mary's in Southbend - just gorgeous. Too much snow, though. |
Naval Academy. |
OP back. Yes, I do absolutely agree with you on that (too much snow). ![]() ![]() |
+1 |
Yes!! Everytime I walk onto that campus, I get a sense of peace and beauty. |
So does Colgate. |
