During a pandemic?
Even though the man you encountered couldn't speak English, but hers could?
And yet, you never did mention the town that you live in, but the OP does?

This post REEKS of you bragging about how badly you wanted to threaten that poor, unsuspecting guy with your "22 calibur gun" (oooh, so scary!) just because he didn't have the proper sense to "speak good English" to you (oh, nice job subtly sneaking that little detail (which had no baring) into the story).

I have started telling people that I train attack dogs for a living, and they need to leave my property.

I feel very vulnerable when I’m at home alone with my children.

NP. Why do you open the door at all? I know it feels bad/strange letting people stand out there, especially if they know there are people inside from noise or whatever, but we all need to stop opening the door for them. There is NO reason why people should be going door-to-door soliciting for things. If we ALL stopped opening our doors, it wouldn't be worth it for them and they'd just stop. Please, let's all just stop opening the doors.

Honestly, I’m not usually inside. I have had solicitors walk into my yard while I’m playing with my children.
