Height and weight of 10 year old boys?

My 9.5 yo has not hit 4'9" (guideline in VA and he's close) so he is still in a booster.

Yeah my 8 year old is 50 inches and 51 lbs. He's about 25 percentile. On the shorter side but far from smallest.

Your 5 year old should NOT be in a 5 pt harness. It is dangerous.

If your kid is big now, spring for the money. If not, don't.

It is not dangerous! Where did you get that info from. There are 5 point harness seats for special needs from britex. He can handle 100lbs and over 5ft. I think they are called regent. We should all be in a 5 point harness! Nothing dangerous about it

My son is willing to follow my instructions, especially safety-related ones, much more willingly than most of his friends. And he put his foot down to the booster at around 2nd grade. I think his friends did in 1st. So the thought of a 4th grader willingly sitting in a booster is laughable. Not going to happen.

My 8 yr old son is 53" 76lbs. He just uses the seatbelt in the car. We stopped using a booster a few months ago because he was uncomfortable.

My petite 5th grader uses a booster. SHe can see as well as us that the seat belt hits her neck and would be lethal in a crash. It has nothing to do with following instructions.

My nine year old son is 60 pounds and 4'5". We just switched him to a backless booster on his ninth birthday. He was in a booster with back from 7-9 and in a 5pt harness until he was 7.

My 6.5 year old is 54 pounds, no idea of his height right now. We just switched him out of a 5 point harness last month. He's in a booster with back.

Surely the fact that your son got his way with you doesn't mean every other parent would need to follow suit unless willing to be ridiculed by..... you??? Your "willing to follow instructions" second grader got to decide what was safe for him because.... his friends had already been allowed to do so in 1st grade? You may laugh now, but please don't preach.

Both my kids, 1st and 3rd grade, are still in their Britax 5pt harness. They're tall and skinny, if it matters.

My 4th grader sits in a booster. Otherwise she wouldn't be tall enough for the seatbelt.

10 1/2 year old.

55.5 inches
58 lbs

Uses a backless booster.

I don't think he meets the recommended height requirement for the seatbelt in our suv.
