Surplussing the old Hardy School

Anonymous
The Mayor issued a statement today:

The Lab School serves an important role as part of the continuum of services for District students. However, in response to concerns raised by the Council at the December 3rd Legislative Meeting related to issues of over-crowding in Ward 3 public schools, the surplus and disposition of the Hardy School will not move forward until the Student Assignment and Boundaries Review Process that is being managed by the Deputy Mayor for Education is complete. Although we do not expect that the Hardy building will be part of relieving overcrowding in Ward 3, out of an abundance of caution we are delaying the decision to extend the lease. Once the boundaries review process is complete, we will meet with representatives from the Lab School as well as other community stakeholders to resolve the status of the Hardy School.

He's really trying to get my vote. I cannot believe I may actually support Gray.

He would be a lot better than any of the other candidates, who are past their prime, panderers or wannabees.

He's still a race-baiter. That should be unacceptable to any principled person, period.

Although if you read the statement carefully he's trying to lay the blame at the feet of the Council if things go wrong.
