Obama starting off strong...

This was definitely a win for Obama. No question.

It sounds like Obama's closing statment is basically "Bush's fault, me better"

Let's face it. If no one was an incumbent, Romney would be running away with it.

I'm sure all those voters in Norfolk VA didn't

I'm actually in Norfolk VA and I liked it just fine. My entire family including DH are navy. I don't want him deployed again because we're in another war. I'd rather the navy be more efficient and for there to be more programs to help the vets in my family and throughout the country who have already sacrificed so much.

If Mitt was so great in MA, why is MA solidly in the Obama column?

And why didn't he run for re-election? And why isn't Michigan in his column either?

Good enough to tell Navy Seals who to kill and when. Successfully, I might add.

Romney = more Presidential, took the high road. Channeled Reagan. Purposefully chose to bypass Lybia so as not to appear petty. Obama did the opposite = low point where Obama picks at Romney's blind trust holdings.

Romney won on economic issues. Obama on foreign policy. But poll groups indicate Americans are far more concerned about economics on the immediate front than foreign policy. So independent focus groups are placing Romney ahead.

Conservatives wanted Romney to beat Obama up on the lies and cover-up on Libya but that's why they are talking heads and not running for President.

Conservative view is that Romney won because he sailed in on the winning wave he set up in the earlier debates. He looked confidential, presidential, had a better "fixed" look than Obama when not talking on split screen. Obama looked angry, petulant and tried to zing with low blows which Charles Krauthammer points out would be appropriate if running for community organizer but not when you are running for the presidency: "Romney went Big. The President seemed small and went for petty attacks".

Lie check: Obama tried to lecture Romney about how wars are won saying "today's wars no longer use bayonets". A marine texted in "We still use bayonets. If Obama had ever served in the armed forces or paid attention, he would know that."
