Father kills man sexually abusing his daughter

Anonymous
While you can say what he did was justified -- the father did not intend to kill this predator.
He was attempting to save his child
The poor man is beside himself -- he took a person's life.
I cannot imagine being in his position...while I would hope i would react and use what necessary force to save my child -- i would not want to live with having taken a life..no matter how "justified" it may seem.

I'm not sure if I pasted the link correctly but it looks like the GJ did not return an indictment. Thank goodness.

The poor father was beside himself. It sounds as though he was horrified he hurt the man to the extent he did.

Didn't click your link but read this on AP yesterday. What *pissed me off* was that it seems like the reporter(s) went all over town and tried to talk to the guy, his family, neighbors, friends, etc.

I agree he did the right thing but after reading how horrified he was on the 911 call, I really wish ppl would leave this man alone.

Right. Is it really necessary to show up at his property and knock on his door? Tools.

Had he hunted the molester down afterward, I'd imagine that would be very different circumstances than pulling a man OFF his FOUR YEAR OLD daughter.
Wow. There's no way this guy gets charged with anything.

It is different, no question - and in the later circumstance he'd likely be charged - but there's no jury in the world that would convict him. He might not be acquitted, but there's no queston that at least one in 12 people (myself included) would hold firm on, "Good for you."

Yup, I'd dig my heels in for months if I had to. I don't care if he hunted him down 5 years later. The only good molester is a dead molester.

Um, please don't read the stories, respond to threads on chat boards about the story, and then call the reporter a "tool" for doing his job. Seriously, if you're that worked up about it, your indignation should start with a little more self-reflection.

Of course the journalist reported the story searching for the details you'd lap up in a second.

You're off base here. The original story was printed and that's it. What those journalists were looking for was the titillating, sensational, "what no other reporter found out" details about this family. There is nothing more to report than what was originally reported. The fact that they went digging is horrible.

Also, we should call it as it is: child RAPE. I feel like sexual abuse is too tame a term for something an adult was forcing a child to do, on top of her, both with no underwear on.
