If this was a repblican candidate/ pres i dont think stuff like this would be dismissed as "crazy." it is a legitimate piece of marketing material used for yrs. Why are people considered racist or nuts for asking what gives? Maybe it was a typo perpetuated for years or a true error but I think it is ok to at least wonder about the inconsistencies.

Are you arguing that this promotional item (created by a woman who acknowledges that the error was hers) trumps the man's birth certificate? Really?

NP here. No, but I think it's reasonable to wonder why Obama didn't catch the error and have it corrected.

Why on earth would he have even seen it? Do you know what the publication actually is? It's a booklet of 90 authors, and he has one paragraph in it. He hadn't even published his first book when it was written.

So, it's undisputed that Romney's dad George Romney was born in Mexcio. But that fact was never cited to disqualify him when he ran for president in 1968 while serving as governor of Michigan. (His comment about having been 'brain washed" on Vietnam effectively did.) BTW, should we demand proof from Mitt that he wasn't born in Mexico himself? And how do we know his marriage to Ann is his only one? Can he prove that there are no sister wives??

Abso-freakin-lutely correct. Why hasn't Romney addressed the sister wives issue? And why won't the mainstream media cover it? I think he's hoping it all blows over.

Yes vet Romney and Obama. I dont think this trumps his BC but the point is if this were a republican the press would surely vet. I believe Obama is a US citizen but why all the drama with supplying the BC, closing his college records, etc. Not there is any issue but no one really seems to care. I would like to see Romneys college records, BC etc. It is the least we can expect of the person doing the most important job in the world and working for US. Vet them all PLEASE!!

And again, had this been the birther rallying cry since the dawn of time, I might believe them. It wasn't. Because birthers didn't exist. Because nobody cared about anyone's birth certificate until the black guy showed up.

Untrue. Whrn this whole issue csme up with Obamas BC, I was floored itwasnt required of ALL candidates. I couldnt even believe it was an issue bc I assumed it was part of the disclosure process to even legally run for Pres.

Great, I believe you. Doesn't change my point: it never came up until the black guy came along.

When Obama was born he could have entered the US with his mother under her passport as an infant. He wouldn't have needed one of his own.
He could have been born in the US or Kenya, I don't see why it matters since his mother was a US Citizen.
McCain's parents were stationed in Panama making his birth a citizen born abroad birth.

Now now. Don't think you can fool the Birthers with any of your "Logic" shenanigans.

If you were concerned about the legal requirements, then you should have accepted the answer that the US Supreme Court gave.

Yeah, it was provided by the State of Hawaii to the Secretary of State of Arizona who wanted proof that Obama was born in Hawaii in order to put Obama on the ballot.

Because it is unlikely that he ever saw the promo piece. It is a booklet about all 90 authors. It's not an Obama promo piece.

I wasn't aware of what you've shared here. Although personally I accept/believe that he was born in Hawaii and have never questioned his honesty about it, I was just commenting because I thought he'd authored the booklet. Thanks for clarifying.

OMG is there any way we can let Arizona go its own way to form a wingnut utopia and be done with them? Soon they will be signing loyalty oaths before they can legally buy groceries.

its so sad that this thread has gone 5 page with some people still "questioning" obama's birth place.

it is obvious that nothing will convince you that he was born in america.

there can be video of obama's actual birth starting with obama's mother driving to the hospital on hawaii highways/roads and the doctor holding up a hawaii newspaper from that day with the beaches in the background and you guys will still question if its actually hawaii.

get a life folks.
