what are the best elementary schools in Fairfax Co?

Don't be a jerk. They are both good schools now, and will still be good schools after the shift of some FH students to LR.

I'm a 'graduate' of Belle View Elementary (albeit pretty long ago. Let's just say that I went to Bryant Intermediate, before it was an alternative school, and the first year of Carl Sandburg. ) and grew up to be relatively normal. I kinda wish that we lived in that area, so that my children could go there as well.

Is Oakhill Elementary a good school?

Before my daughter got into the AAP program, she went to Centreville Elementary. We loved it there. The teachers were great and the administration was visible and very easy to talk to. We were sad to leave. That said, we second the above statement about Willow Springs. That is the school my daughter attends for AAP, and we like it just as well.

You wouldn't want to go to Sandburg today...

So I've heard. Kind of makes me sad. Sandburg wasn't bad the first year it was open (and the only year that I was there) even with the Fort Hunt/Groveton rivalry. I went to West Potomac as well (second class to graduate that never went to Fort Hunt or Groveton) and it was a great school when I was there. I took AP classes, got into good colleges, never saw a single fight (they may have happened, but they were not everywhere).

Best of them is Haycock.

Is Haycock still good if you decide not to send your child to an AAP center? If you decide to keep them at their home school for gifted services?

Are you the same anti-Sanburg person who keeps posting every opportunity you can?

My kids are still in elementary, and we have the resources for private if need be, but every SINGLE person I know (and we live in the hood) whose kid goes or has gone to Sandburg has enjoyed it.

Not sure why you hate it so, but let it go. No need to keep posting this shit.
