I don't know what I object to more -- the ad itself or the butchered grammar and punctuation within it.

care.com has someone posting what feels like spam/advertising for their services.

This is one example but there are at least 2-3 threads she's posted on in the last day or less.

I removed that entire thread because the spambots get coming back to it. The topic was out of date at this point anyway.

I wil have more to say about this later -- I'll probably write a blog article -- but Moms have been recruited to spam. I just deleted 7 copies of the same post. Most were replies to threads from 2008. It's not the first time I have encountered this.

It never ceases to amaze me how the owners don't seem to realize or care how unethical and untrustworthy this kind of behavior is. Shouldn't it be BAD for their business to resort to such behavior on local forums?

I know I have refused to work with agencies who've engaged in such behavior on these forums. Some faking reviews, some posting jobs that don't actually exist/were long since filled as a recruiting tool, etc.

More people should be really offended by these kinds of things. If the business regularly engages in unethical behavior, why would they trust them for such a personal and important service as finding a....trustworthy nanny! Just silly. Granted this is even more true for the smaller local agencies vs. the national online sites that really don't care.
