Any thoughts on the Wash Post/Bill Turque article on Hardy MS on the schools insider website??

Eric Redwine is clueless as the asst. Superintendent. Where did they get him from? He cannot possibly be in charge of helping principals. I would not trust him watching my dog. This issue is bigger than Hardy. Too many fools are in charge such as Redwine, willhoyte, canty, Abigail smith, victor, and brody. Our kids will continue to fail like the Knicks.

WTF? Who is Timothy Williams? (Or Nerenberg?)

T Williams can do the crip walk. It is funny as hell. Oh, I am sorry. That is how he really walks. Well, he still looks nice in the fur.

She is the principal. T W was her immediate boss.

Just visited with friends whose child is going into 6th (OOB) and when we discussed where we hope to get our rising 6th graders I said we're looking at Hardy and this long-time DC parent (not from Hardy boundary) laughed and said, "...that school is so messed up now it's out of the question". Believe me, that's the talk for previously viable families from all over DC and it has merit.

I am not healing. I am leaving. Which way to Deal?

Good luck, PP (but go to Latin if you can get in - it's much better academically).

I know Abby Smith and while I may disagree with her on many things, only a fool would call her a fool.

I am humbled that jsteele responded to my post. Keep up the good work. By the way, Abby was a horrible teacher. My cousin had her and he did not learn a thing. Now, she is a major player in education. Are you kidding? I would not trust her with my sixth graders.

Heard Pope will return after Xmas break.

I can understand calling out major players like Rhee, Fenty, etc. Is it necessary to call out other minor players by name in a public forum? Regardless of the truth of the assertions, I would be horrified if someone posted them online about me. What does it achieve in the end, except slamming someone publicly from behind a shield? Is that good karma?

Now THAT would be amazing, and uplifting if Pope returned after Xmas break!!

I don't know 9:16, some of these instructional superintendents are truly awful. The one I dealt with had no problem lying directly to parents, while making the life of a hard-working and skilled principal absolutely miserable.

Honestly, I have no idea what this level of management actually DOES in DCPS. I can't think of anything this person in particular did to make things function more smoothly at my child's school.

After working with one of the above-nameds supers on a principal search panel I feel perfectly comfortable with the instructional superintendent corps being cut to the bone. This is a place where funds could be saved with no real detriment to students.

I have no idea who T Williams is, but this is just offensive. There is something wrong with you.

10:45 - right on! in fact a long long time ago when Rhee was brand new she lied when she suggested Asst. Sups. would be the first layer of fat to get cut, and that support would go "directly to the principals". Instead she added layers more fat. BTW, the excellent reviews received by many principals by the over-paid Asst. Sups. meant squat and they were fired anyway, that famous first year of hers.

Yeah, fer gosh sakes, at least put him to work in a school somewhere in the friggin' system so he can go back to serving real students again!
