Ralph Macchio in The Karate Kid.

How are Mark Ruffalo in 13 Going on 30 and Ralph Macchio in TKK villains???

Ruffalo is an a-hole no matter what he does. Macchio was clearly a manipulative passive-aggressive psychopath in TKK…everybody knows that.

If you are referring to him as a person, not the roles he plays, totally agree. I really dislike him both as a person and in the roles he plays. I just thought he was a weak character in 13GO30. But JG is the villain in that.

As to RM in TKK, he is trying to not get beat up. How does that make him a villain. I genuinely don't get this? Are people no longer allowed to learn how to protect themselves, then win?

Christoph Waltz in Inglorious Basterds

Javier Bardem in No Country for Old Men

Judi Dench Notes on a Scandal (not really the villain of the story since the other lady was a pedo) but just an amazing performance by the actor)

Phillip Seymour Hoffman in Talented Mr. Ripley (again not the true villain but perfect casting and a great performance)

I find him weak, entitled and clueless.

Just curious, do you have a problem with him speaking out against the murder of Renee Good?

I didn't realize he had. No, I just find him incredibly unwatchable. The first time I saw him was in the movie with Laura Linny. That character embodies how I think of him. Weak, whinny. Ugh. Shudder.

This is probably weird, but one of my favorite villains of all time is Vontra from Wild Robot.

Something about a villain who is completely emotionless, literally cannot feel any empathy due to programming, yet who talks in such a kind and caring way, just seems so evil.

There's no emotion, it's nothing personal, it's just procedure.

That's so chilling to me because it's the epitome of manipulative, cold, and calculating. There's no way to appeal. You think she may see things your way and feel some empathy or regret for deleting you, but there's nothing there.

I love watching her too, but she's not the villain!
