Yep for colleges. But for bookstores? Barnes and Noble for the win |
| For nice campus bookstores, look to Kenyon and Hamilton. For a variety of nearby bookstores, look to Berkeley and Cambridge. |
| Oberlin |
Our family believes it is bad luck to buy away at a college before you get accepted. lol. Kinda was true with my son. |
Completely agree. Don't mess with karma. |
| Not a bookstore, but we did a tour of Penn State and I was drooling over its library because they had just-released fiction hardbacks right at the entrance. I would love to have a library like that, but alas we live in DC. |
| I liked that Colgate's bookstore in town is owned and operated by the university. So many universities outsource the bookstore to Barnes and Nobles College these days, including The Coop at Harvard. |
I would if my kid was admitted. . . |
| Amherst's is pretty nice given that all students get textbooks for all of their classes for free |
Wasn’t it was Tina Turner ? |
Do they have a section for books that are plagiarism-free? |
| ^+1 it’s in the children’s section. |
+1 don’t mess with karma. I’m not superstitious but I felt that way when my kid bought stuff at their reach schools. (Waitlisted). |
Well, they have 3% admissions rates so... looks like quite a lot of people. |
Those comments amuse me, people can think what they want, but let's not pretend you or your kid were admitted and had to make that choice. |
