For nice campus bookstores, look to Kenyon and Hamilton. For a variety of nearby bookstores, look to Berkeley and Cambridge.

Our family believes it is bad luck to buy away at a college before you get accepted. lol. Kinda was true with my son.

Not a bookstore, but we did a tour of Penn State and I was drooling over its library because they had just-released fiction hardbacks right at the entrance. I would love to have a library like that, but alas we live in DC.

I liked that Colgate's bookstore in town is owned and operated by the university. So many universities outsource the bookstore to Barnes and Nobles College these days, including The Coop at Harvard.

Amherst's is pretty nice given that all students get textbooks for all of their classes for free

+1 don’t mess with karma. I’m not superstitious but I felt that way when my kid bought stuff at their reach schools. (Waitlisted).
