I can judge. Giving a child unprescribed stimulants is illegal, for a reason. If your ex disputes medicating, you work with a guardian ad litem and get a recommendation that moves forward to a judge. You do not take matters into your own hands. |
The kids have a GAL and it seems the GAL filed for and was granted a temporary restraining order against her. |
A “mistake” wouldn’t have caused her to lose custody. This issue happened a while ago and she lost custody in October. You can also pretend that People isn’t reputable but they aren’t going to lose a lawsuit and their reputation over someone like Meghan. |
Exactly. The PP defending her is making a really weird choice here. |
If Jim didn’t agree were back to the same point of Meghan giving her kids an illegal drug. |
Yes, we can absolutely judge a parent giving their kids a drug not prescribed to them. If that’s something you do - stop it. |

Well that’s interesting. Wonder what Meghan did to the GAL. |

Unless you have personally experienced being in family court with a narcissist with endless resources (money, etc), you have no idea what is really going on here. Don't even get me started on the issue of GALs and CPS.
None of us know the actual details of this case other than the sensationalized crap from People and other entertainment news sources. The only apparent fact you can take away from this is that the order is *temporary* and there is a hearing scheduled in December. |
You have no idea what you’re talking about either. But you are weirdly defensive of a woman whose actions rose to a level where CPS took away her custody weeks ago. Not sure what your issue is with the ex, but Meghan’s actions triggered the school to make the CPS complaint, not her ex. And having a restraining order filed against you from the GAL is serious and not something you should make light of. Reunification is always the goal of family services so of course the order is temporary. This is an Entertainment message board. So we’re going to talk about things reported from reputable sources. If the discussion triggers something in you - maybe your prior behavior? - then disengage. |
No, I am pointing out the insinuation that she is “drugging” her kid such that they will be permanently removed from her custody is a huge stretch. There is a lot of documentation that the child has behavioral and cognitive issues, of the type that a stimulant prescription would be totally normal. I don’t know what exactly she did with this particular bottle of meds but we also know that there is a very low barrier to call CPS and also that her ex is an *sshole. Maybe she has something else going on that makes her an unfit parent, and yes, giving her child someone else’s prescription was dumb. But there is no indication the child was harmed in any way. It sounds like she needs more supports in parenting 3 young kids, one of whom has significant SN. |

If you are so media illiterate that you think that People article tells the full story, I don’t know what to say. |
You are behaving as an expert on this case after reading an article from People magazine and other entertainment rags, which is hilarious. |
First of all, giving your kid illegal drugs is a huge deal - why the quotes around drugging? No one said she is permanently losing custody. It’s been said multiple times that it’s temporary. And why are you constantly bringing up Jim? Jim is not the one that called CPS? |
