Give me your best small dinner party menu for a new guest who says ‘I like everything’

Is this person single? I try to make things someone who cooks for one most of the time wouldn't bother with -- roast something and homemade starchy thing, plus asparagus and hollandaise, or some form of pot pie (boeuf bourgignon with a crust, as it were), chicken makhani. The bo ssam suggestion was good, too.

Order some nice crab cakes from Faidley's in Baltimore- easy- just saute/heat and done.
Serve with baby roasted potatoes and a really nice salad.

For appetizers do a nice cheese board and some spanikapotas (buy premade from TJs)

Serve a good sparkling wine with apps to make it festive. Sprinkle in a few pomegranite seeds to fancy it up....
