OMG the gnashing of teeth that would happen if you tried to move some Severna Park kids!
|
Route 3 is incredibly dangerous. |
If River Walk would simply get on board with moving to the Arundel cluster, there would be no need for the split articulation of Nantucket. |
Maybe they don’t want their kids to have to move either. |
I’m sure they don’t. But the reality is that moving them is less harmful than splitting Nantucket. They’d simply join the Arundel cluster and attend those schools from the beginning. |
Hahaha. For what ever reason Severna park seems to be untouchable in all this. |
Riverwalk is IN CROFTON. I thought the argument was for “One Crofton”?? |
You're being intentionally obtuse. Ideally all students currently attending Crofton feeder schools would continue to attend Crofton High School. Unfortunately, the Board was unwilling to let that happen. If the Board insists on moving anyone, it should be those kids who live on the Arundel side of Route 3. |
They don’t live on the Arundel side of Route 3, they live on the Crofton side of Route 3. That land has been part of the Crofton cluster for way longer than the Nantucket community has. Nantucket was the community that was attending Four Seasons Elementary and Arundel Middle until 2008 when Nantucket Elementary itself opened and the parents fought to be moved to Crofton Middle. You don’t get to be the arbitrator of who should and shouldn’t go to Arundel or Crofton. |
No one lived on that land until a developer threw up some townhouses on it a few years ago. All of this will play out once the appeal is successful. |
