Because backing out is easier since you are entering a larger space rather than a more confined space. More margin for error. If you back into a space then you have to perfectly center your vehicle within three different reference points that are mere inches from your car whereas backing into a larger street or aisle is usually many feet away from obstacles. Less precision needed. |
