I wish that the gay community would make an effort to "out" current GOP lawmakers and government officials the way they did during the AIDS epidemic. It brought national attention to the hypocrisy of many conservative public figures around addressing the epidemic. It may be effective again as the GOP goes after trans individuals and attacks gay marriage.

Most people - or at least sane - don’t care per se. it’s is the HIDING your true self tends to warp a person and makes BLACKMAIL possible. So - yeah - I don’t want my elected representative and/or federal officials at risk of blackmail. So I hope they are outed in irrefutable ways. Maybe they might then finally recognize their own hypocrisy. It’s harder to hide the cognitive dissonance when it’s all out in the open.
