You can voluntarily overpay or voluntarily not claim deductions you’re entitled to, though. For instance, if you disagree with raising the SALT limit, you don’t have to deduct yours. |

I do not and have never gotten a tax break from the tax “cuts.” I make between $800 and 2.0 million.
The next round of tax “cuts” should tax lawyers and consultants at 90% instead of small business owners like me. |
If you live in America this is a government of, by, and for the people, and the decisionmakers who write tax law are entirely elected by the people. And we spend more than we take in in revenue, and have for almost all of the past 80 years, so no one has been paying their share at current tax rates or past tax rates or proposed tax rates. Just shut up. |
