Three reasons I don't fill a cart -
1. I walk to the grocery, gets steps in, only buy what I really need for that day/maybe next day, need to carry it all home, has dramatically improved my health 2. You don't really save like you used to by buying a lot at once 3. People just eat differently now, there are a lot of options both at the grocery store and fast casual/restaurants. |
| I go to the store daily. I never bought a weeks worth at a time. |
| Today was a full cart, but only because I bought two flats of bottled water. Was also the first time I spent over $200 in one trip ($220, even!) |
Just curious, do you sell the water or is that for home use? |
| How much did you spend this last week on groceries? Include any coupons you used. |
This is us, too. We generally know our schedules 2-3 days out, but beyond that, things change. We buy enough for the nights we can commit to, then do another trip a few days later. |
I don’t know. I usually go 2 or 3 times and pick up a few things. I have teenagers so we’re always running out of stuff. |
| I never want to have to unload that much stuff and I never want to do that much shopping at one time, result is brain drain. I also keep a close eye on prices. Sometimes I'll add everything up in my head as a shop (including produce sold by weight) and usually come within a few pennies of the checkout total. |
