Most people aren’t smart/creative enough to enjoy nature, converse with each other and just *be*. They need some entertainment popping out at them from every corner. |
I’m not interested in taking my 95 pct 4 year old on a hike. Someday, when they can walk more than a mile or two without begging to be carried, we will do it. |
Sounds like lazy/bad parenting if you can’t get your 4 year old out in nature. Millions of other parents all around the world can do it. |
Sorry you can’t afford a Disney vacation. They can be a lot of fun. Most families take a variety of different vacations of which Disney may be one just like national parks may be one. |
Lmao. Instead of Disney we stayed at the St. Regis Deer Valley and taught our young kids how to ski. Not have breakfast with people dressed up as fictional characters. |
Why isn't there space in this world to do both? My kids have been to Disney a bunch of times, including Disney Hong Kong, Disney Tokyo, and Disney Paris, but they've also spent a month traveling to national parks, are certified to scuba dive, have been to at least 15 countries across Europe, Asia, etc., etc. |
“This is the way” |
Bravo for you! Different strokes for different folks. A lot of 4-year-olds would not be all that interested in the ski resort and being outside in the cold and would gravitate toward the kid-centered fun at Disney. It's okay for other families to do it if they choose to and can afford it. |
I prefer doing both types of vacations, some more geared towards kids, some more geared toward parents. There's room, if you can afford it, to do both. Most four year olds love meeting fictional characters and your attitude says more about you than anything else. Disney can be super fun, just like skiing can be. |
Hurt people hurt people. You should examine why something that does not affect you makes you so angry. |
Well that is the problem. It keeps getting worse yet people still keep going and throwing them their money. |
I’ll bite. Send me your tips for hiking vacations for 45 lb children that can’t walk more than a couple of miles. We do beaches and parks plenty. But I really want to drill in how you do hikes with young children. |
Go to Zion national park. Didn’t do any hikes over a couple miles. Still enjoyed the hell out of it with the kids. |
