Are you putting all your friends through a political-purity test right now?

This is why we are in this mess

You are friends with racist unamerican shit

They have no values

They have no morals

They are unintelligent

How exactly are they your friend when they are ok with women and minorities losing all rights? Children dying? Consumer protection gone? Etc?

Admit it you are as stupid as they are.

They support Mr Nazi taking over the US a king who hates all but white Christian men and only wants your beholden to him,

By the way we did not elect musk as king. You are friends with someone who doesn’t want you to have a right to vote. Project 2026 or medical care for you or your kids.

My dog snoozing, a nice cup of coffee and the posts like this make for a nice Sunday morning. Normalcy is coming back, leadership that wants secure boarders, more efficient government, doctors to not mutilate children and liberals melting down. Aaaaah, refreshing.

It’s “borders”, you illiterate fool.

I hope your coffee gives your third degree burns.

One close friend has admitted that she did not foresee what is happening and it's starting to hurt her own family. I didn't say "I told you so."

Dude, we are just polite. It is not OK to be gleeful when you are winning, especially in front of people you know aren’t happy.

I am pleased with the changes but I would never say so or indicate that in front of my lib friends, because that is rude and mean. I just don’t talk about it or say something noncommittal if it is brought up. I am sure some of them think silence means I am unhappy with Trump, and that’s fine for them to think but not true.

Why not own it? Why is it being "polite" to not acknowledge that you caused the harm they are facing now? You don't have to be gleeful per se, but yeah, hey Janet, I voted for this outcome. This is why it's good that it's happening. Own it.

I love how MAGA RWNJs call having and adhering to morals and decency "intolerant" and try to paint people who try to stand up for the oppressed as in the wrong.

Well, if being a kind and decent person, if standing up to tyranny, if standing up to thieves and thugs, standing up to MAGA lies is "intolerant", then fine...I am proudly intolerant.

MAGA RWNJs are so dangerous, because you believe your evil is actually righteous.

This sounds so wildly paranoid. Political purity wow

NP. Wishing someone to get third degree burns is not cool and makes you sound like a complete idiot.

Who knows where they get their news -but it’s not reporting what’s going on. I think there is a feeling of shame among the tromp voters.

You’re mistaking elation for shame.

I think that elation coming from people you care about is just too disturbing. People who are elated are either elated by hatefulness, completely ignorant of what’s going on, or have completely drunk the Fox News kool aid and lack the critical thinking skills to see when they are being manipulated and lied to.

Exactly. Why would anyone want to hang around with someone who enjoys the pain of others, including strangers who have never done a damn thing to them. It's sick.

Oh for heaven's sake, you guys, just ignore people like the dog troll. Anyone who would type something like that is just a sicko looking for attention. You have to ignore those posts like they never happened.

So who are you exactly? “A kind and decent person” or “proudly intolerant”? Do you have a personality disorder?

+1

I'm sorry for my friends who are losing their jobs, and express sympathy in their individual situations, but overall, I still think that the country is finally on the right path. These people will be fine.

So it’s not just one or two people losing their jobs and even folks outside of the government/government contracting are affected.

I run a micro business in DC and my business is down 75% since the firings began. I’ll be lucky to pay rent at my house and certainly hope my office landlord can work with me so I don’t have to shutter immediately. My profits are normally just enough to live on.

Killing small businesses seems kind of contrary to supporting the country.

I am not so sure actually. People are getting radicalized to the point of wanting to harm people.

NO this is not "political purity" unless it is MAGA taking oaths to a con man and his Nazi leader.

No one is an American if they want the constitution to be ignored or gone.

Family gatherings have been tense for some time. What’s wild is how much more vocal and shaming the conservative wealthy side of the family is to the more community minded family members. They still maintain Jan 6 was a “joke”. Out of respect for my parents I maintain these relationships in theory only, no bad mouthing but I do rsvp no to most gatherings as they are incredibly toxic.

Kind of like any discussion of politics in this page 😂

That’s not real, dear. And you must realize that.
