What do you like about being an atheist?

I do find a lot of hypocrisy and cherry picking in religion that I also dislike. If it were "true" I feel like it would be straightforward, simple. Not 1000 different versions, some with their own special books, which each of the 1000 pick different things to believe/follow/etc.

A lot of people need ritual, thus get overly involved, IMO, in religion. As pp noted, there are ways to get ritual without religion.

I love making my coffee in the morning. It's quiet, often still dark. Only I am awake. I pour it. I smell it, then I sip it. Mmmm.
