DC ban on cashless business

Snap payments hit the beneficiaries cards once a month. Even then unbanked have cards.

Hahaha this will not be enforced. Tiffany Crowe has made it clear to the DC Chamber that enforcement is not her priority. Any business claiming they will be hurt by this ban is full of it. $200 for a register. Employees should know how to count cash already. Insurance covers any robberies.

Every time someone says that insurance covers theft and robberies so it’s no big deal, I thank them for letting me know that I don’t have to take them seriously. So, thank you!

Have you ever heard of deductibles? Have you ever heard about insurance companies raising your rate if you have claims or refusing to insure you altogether?

Hey if you don’t want to take US currency go to Virginia.

You can use a debit or prepaidcard.

They don't cover it all and only so many claims you can make before you are dropped.

That's patent imbecility. Insurance may, or may not reimburse for monetary losses, but obviously cannot make whole anyone traumatized, injured, or murdered during the course of a robbery. Nor can insurance make whole a business which suffers reputational damage from robberies, affecting future income. such simplistic thinking and characterizations are why lefty-liberal policies so often are utter failures, detracting from public safety instead of enhancing it.

The DMV business community got the hint. They are taking their business to Virginia.

People buy houses with cash too, you know. Cash purchases don't always mean dollar bills slid across the table. If care dealers could force financing on people, you know they would.

Yes yes US currency has utterly failed. Preacher bro! The leftist and commies will not take over this country! Though you do seem like a pink sympathizer.

Try paying your DC property tax in cash. Doesn’t sound like they would accept it. Maybe someone would like to drive to PHILADELPHIA to try.

You may pay your real property tax bill with a check or money order payable to the "DC Treasurer." Be sure to include your square, suffix and lot or parcel and lot numbers on your check or money order. Also include the top portion of your bill to help us process your payment on time.

Mail your payment in the envelope provided. If you must use another envelope, send your payment to the following address:

Office of Tax and Revenue
DC Government Real Property Taxes
PO Box 718095
Philadelphia, PA 19171-8095

You may also pay your real property tax bill online via OTR's eCheck online payment system.
