What do you eat on Christmas if you don’t have a traditional dinner?

We've done different things over the years for the nuclear family, but these are the ones we've repeated:

* steak & crab
* Mexican (tamales, empanadas, enchiladas, guac & pico, etc.)
* Fancy pasta (in our case the Ina Garten Rigatoni with Sausage & Fennel), Caesar salad, and cannolis for dessert
* duck
*Cornish Game Hens
*Beef tenderloin

A lot of media outlets (Southern Living, Martha Stewart, Ina) will offer numerous curated menus - those can be a lot of fun- choose your favourite and follow through.

We are Italian American, so we eat seafood on Christmas Eve.

Christmas Day meal is usually either a standing rib roast or a crown roast of pork. We serve it with traditional sides like mashed potatoes, roasted root vegetables, or green beans.

It will just be three of us this year so will probably opt for a beef tenderloin.

For Christmas Eve we have stuffed shells and salad and garlic bread

For Christmas dinner we have ham, crescent rolls, scalloped potatoes, and brussels sprouts

Where are you getting the raclette and how are you cooking it at home? I have been obsessed with it since I traveled in the alps the summer after I graduated from high school. I once traveled up to NY just to go to a restaurant that served it.
