My freshman got the email that she was not selected as a semi-finalist (summer program in Arabic). Hoping that is mostly due to her age and will probably apply next year. Anyone made it to the summer semi finalists? Would you mind sharing their language choice and grade? |

| My sophomore got an email saying she is a semi-finalist. It did not say for what language but her first pick was Russian and her second pick was "any language." |

| If your kid is a semifinalist, this is the final round. They find out in the spring. Mine previously did summer and is now a semifinalist for academic year. |

| It's good to have a back up plan in general. For the summer program, Announcements for finalists don't come out until mid-late March, and by then, many other program deadlines have passed. (My kid applied twice and got it second time so i remember the stress of the announcement timing). Good luck everyone! |

| Hopefully yes, but seems like things could continue to be uncertain up until the program begins (assuming it happens). |
