No holiday today for Diwali

My company which has a lot of Indians zero people asked for day off.

We are remote 3 days a week and school is only to around 230pm.

Indians are serious about education. They want their kids in school.

Mcps doesn't usually label things as holidays because of SEIU. If they can label a day is not instructional then it becomes a no work. No payday. If they label it as a holiday then SEIU staff have to be paid


This is why the calendar never says Rosh Hashanah even though it's always going to be off for Rosh Hashanah.
