I know a widowed 2nd wife of a former celebrity (recognizable name) who lived the high life of glamour and travel and big houses and of course, name recognition that opened doors.

When her husband died, she lost everything to his former now adult DC - as in they took her to court and hung her out to dry.

She is now partially disabled and moved to a one BR apartment without stairs. Has sold off her husband’s few remaining possessions and awards she managed to keep.
