Newspapers like NYT and Washington Post have gotten in on the graphic articles. You scroll down as you read and related photos come up in between paragraphs. It brings the articles to life.

I’m a librarian in a middle school. Trust me, this phase will pass and she’ll move on to more advanced chapter books. I’ve seen kids go through this phase and grow out of it hundreds of times.

Or she’ll stick to her graphics and read only chapter books that the school requires. Not everyone is interested in reading long chapter books from 100 years ago in their free time. If Comics and funny graphic books are something a child enjoys and they are doing great in school there is no problem.
