Do you remember the exact day you got your drivers license as a teenager?

Yes. Mid 80's. My friend and I went to pick up my regular license (I had gotten a temporary one when I passed the test). There was a guy at the DMV who had gotten his license revoked and was really mad. He kept yelling and cursing. On his way out, he slammed his head into the sliding glass door which shattered and there was glass everywhere.

The woman behind the counter got a small broom and dust pan and slowly cleaned it up while we all patiently waited in line. Eventually she finished, went back to helping the customers and I got my license.

No - no memory of getting the actual license.

I remember taking the driving test. It was in the 80s, and I was driving a stickshift. It was a hilly town, and one of the tests was when you were stopped at a red light, heading up a hill. So you had to do that thing where you had one foot on the brake and one on the accelerator, and you quickly shifted from neutral into first gear, before rolling backwards down the hill into the car behind you! Haven't done that move in forever!
