It's natural. Other families don't like having to schedule their vacations around school breaks. It's a lot easier when your kids don't need to bother with class.

Plus I've been able to save a ton of money on tutors by just taking my kids' tests for them.

The Troll is strong in this one!

I thought they couldn’t leave their houses and that’s why they need virtual academy?
Isn’t the world dangerous to them?
How will we hear them over the double N95s and full face shield not to mention full body bubble wrap and maybe even aluminum foil hat??
Will they be ok?????

Bullying and immaturity at its finest.

The question remains- if you can send your kids to protests in masks, why can't you send them to school in masks?

Look, keep bullying. Not a great way to make your point. They are our kids, not yours. Spend a little more time focusing on yours and they may be happier and start to enjoy spending time with you.

Pointing out in the inconsistency in your logic is bullying? Is that how you always react when someone tells you you're wrong?

And which school did you go to where they did not explain the difference between
Inside
And
Outside?

The meeting is inside.

But are you suggesting SH and CE don't let their kids go inside?

And all the protests have been outside.

You know outside, where the BOE keeps all the people they don’t allow in their new meeting room.

So if you go to the meeting, it sounds like you'll quarantine from your kids for 15 days?

I have to since my kids suffer acute Munchausens.

Well, Troll you might want to look that up and get yourself some emergency counseling.

Did you go to Blake?

Having your kids do so badly they close your school isn't a good way to make your point, but that's what you chose.

I did, but they just had virtual counseling. It worked about as well as MVA.

-- open public comments
-- final adoption of operating budget
-- final action, homework policy
-- charter schools discussion
Are any of these likely to be at all interesting or lively? These are kids aged 12 to 16 that would like to learn more about local government issues. (If anyone has a county council meetings that might be interesting, please let me know!)
Thank you!

Kids would be bored out of their skulls. But agree it’s important.

Will the BOE members actually know what is going on at today's meeting? 😔

No doubt they will ask a clarifying question or two.
