Actually she initially said she hadn’t been planning to use donor sperm. A pp was encouraging it and I simply pointed out that she didn’t need to necessarily make that choice now. Most 35 yo women are freezing their eggs in the hopes that down the road they may be paired off and in a better position to have kids using their own eggs and a future partner’s sperm. |
Uhh/ that’s how the Assure program works. A flat fee for 20 eggs or 4 cycles. |
If you have a complicated pregnancy you can be in for BPP ultrasounds twice a week or even on bedrest for weeks/months |
mine wasn't even THAT complicated-- had GD and iui pregnancy, under 40, and still had multiple times a week bpp ultrasounds (though honestly was thankful for any chance to see the baby!) |
She was looking to spend $8k or less - there is no flat fee program that is going to do it for that price |
I’ve done 2 ER with CNY and did remote monitoring at Washington Radiology and Labcorp (I liked the Bethesda location since they were in the same building and available last minute typically and easy parking). |
| How much was an ultrasound At Washington Radiology? |
I did this program about six or seven years ago and hit the 20 eggs in two cycles. Then I got pregnant naturally and never needed them. |
This is always such a dumb and worthless argument. People in DC clamor to get their three year old into public K so they don’t have to pay for childcare. Why would someone justify paying the equivalent of that years before they need it? |
The womb does influence development and may make epigenetic changes but the child won't have your DNA. TBH I would recommend creating embryos - that will give you a much better sense of a) quality of your eggs b) success rates (3 euploid embryos - barring uterine or immune problems is like a 95% success rate for live birth, 2 euploid 80%, and 1 50% success) which will also help determine how many cycles you need to do for future success |
