My comment was about the major (considered a lightweight science, for people going into sports/phys ed type fields--more applied/less intellectual).

The school does not help the field, though I guess getting a weak degree from a strong school would give you an advantage in the eyes of someone trying to hire an applicant with that major.

A DPT is not an easy degree to obtain. I don’t know why you keep implying that it’s for people who are not smart.

An undergraduate in Bio or Chem is a much better starting point if the goal is a DPT.

As it should be. Michigan is one of the great research universities of the world. Everything it does, it does well.

By contrast here, UVA puts together a small program, sticks it in the school of education, and has no pathway to its own grad programs. Looks like UVA just wanted something to offer to athletic recruits.

+1

Uh, UVA kinesiology is ranked third in the nation by USNWR. https://www.niche.com/colleges/search/best-colleges-for-physical-therapy/

If you start in the school of Ed, can you transfer into A&S or is that a direction that is unlikely?
