What’s your favorite celebrity? “reason.” The Ozemic (semaglutide) hold outs.

Ok this was before semaglutide, but Kevin Smith claims to lose 51 pounds in 6 months by turning vegan. Highly doubt it, weight loss surgery of some kind is my bet.

It's like when Tori Spelling came clean in one of her memoirs that her response to how she'd lost the baby weight (swimming!) was a lie since she can't even swim and really she just stopped eating (this was decades before mainstream Ozempic).

Not sure that hers is Ozempic vs other drugs, though. Some of the videos with her are truly bizarre

PP here. You're right. I think she might be using something else (cocaine?)

For the record I tried Ozempic and it didn't really work for me despite tracking protein and water intake like a maniac. I was thinking maybe it's a young person's medication but then Oprah and Sharon Osbourne lost ridiculous amounts of weight on it, so I guess it's just me.

What dose were you on? I wasted a year on low doses are barely lost anything. Once I went to 2mg, the weight melted off so easily.

Most meds are like that. I will take that, no problem.

Adding another celebrity here - Christina Aguilera.

This is my 58 yo neighbor. She claims she’s just increased her orange theory workouts to 4x a week. She’s lost 28 pounds since May ‘without changing her diet, just working out more.’

I honestly don’t understand why people lie about this. At all.

At least you're honest.

I usually tell people who claim they lost it all by dieting and exercise that they’re chumps. Work smarter, not harder.

I’m totally using this on my neighbor mentioned above.

She’s always been thin. She’s not on Ozempic. I’ve lost over 40 lbs walking (a lot), moving as much as I can—walking for groceries instead of driving—and just trying to be more mindful of how much and what I was eating. It’s been gradual weightloss. At this point a little over a year. My face does not look gaunt because loss has been gradual. I have more weoght to lose but for me the biggest shift was eeciding not to focus on weight and appearance but on my health. Feeling better. Making healthier choices.

Drew Barrymore and Valerie Bertinelli. Although never very large, Drew seems to have lost weight and Valerie definitely has.

For sure.

Katy Perry! She’s never been as thin as she is now. She always had meat on her bones. I hate her current look.

I can't watch the video but I wonder about the celeb holdouts as in those who are obese yet aren't on any medication to lose weight.

They obviously have the money, so why not? Danielle Pinnock and Chrissy Metz come to mind.

I just assume everyone who lost drastic weight quickly is paying $550 /month for wegbound and telling them elegies they’ll start lifting weights soon…. And stop overeating once off the injectables…

It's only $299 monthly, and I lost the 20 lbs I wanted to lose in 2.5 months. While losing weight, I continued lifting weights and eating a high-protein diet. I tried so hard for so long to lose the weight without assistance, but after my last baby, it wouldn't budge. I've always exercised five days a week and eaten a healthy diet and taking semaglutide didn't change it.

So you lost 20 lbs but now what? You have to be on meds for your lifetime to maintain it? What happens when you go off them?
