How did you handle p0rn?

No sleep overs
They don't go unless there is an agenda that keeps them occupied
Ask the parent to disappear the personal screens while your kid is there

Explain to your son that there are lots of wild and crazy images on the internet. Talk about your relationship with your spouse, and explain that is healthy, and that there is a lot of material online that is inappropriate and unhealthy. That the scary part is that if you see the unhealthy stuff, it can get stuck in your head as normal and healthy when it is not, and that is why it's important that he not look at that stuff at his age. That you want to make sure what he keeps in his head are images and portrayal of healthy relationships, so that he can have those as he grows up

Irresponsible and lazy advice. You have no right to shirk your duty of judging healthy from unhealthy content onto a child. Shame on you.

When I approached him - I could see the video from Minecraft that opened the can of worms. His history was of women in bikinis which in my eyes is p0rn atleast for his age. We talked- there were some tears- that he was scared and couldn’t get out of the videos - he was sorry on and on. Have you experienced this and how did you handle it? I told him it’s not appropriate - the ipad is done - he isn’t in trouble - that type of content is harmful and I would hate for anyone to try to film his body parts - butts included.

Be thankful he was looking at girls.

Why? That doesn’t make any sense at all.

What part confuses you?

I think you're overreacting. It was an accident and he clearly froze and didn't know how to handle. Why was he left to handle this on his own. You should have been helping him play if he couldn't figure it out on his own. I get why you're upset, but this is a parenting failure, because you didn't prepare him for this.

Wait — why is it harmful? Harmful to the women in the pictures or to him? I absolutely see why it’s not appropriate.

Can't believe people are saying this is nuts. At 8 my children's father was in 3rd grade and his friend at school told him about porn. He proceeded to look up every type of porn his friend told him about. Gay, trans, little people...Even searched for "horse porn"... His parents saw the history and had a talk with him. I bet they still remember it, I would have!

Comparatively it sounds like your son was just curious. Women's butts and women in bikinis, totally normal curiosity.
