That’s crazy talk. Elon offered the kid $5,000 and the kid suggested $50,000. For all we know, the kid was joking.

It is possible she's upset because her carbon footprint may appear outrageous. Apparently her jet reportedly has THREE engines (most privates have only two engines) and for that reason her jet is arguably exceptionally offensive carbon-wise but MUCH faster than other jets.

It is all public record. A solution would be for her to fly commercial. That would reduce the carbon footprint and help the planet. That appears to be his agenda.

+1, even if she got this one kid to stop tweeting about her specific flights, anyone could do what he has done. Including someone who actually wishes to harm her, which this kid quite clearly does not.

While I have empathy for anyone who deals with harassment and stalkers, I think it's important to recognize that there are levels of wealth and fame where they are sadly inevitable. Taylor is at that level. No one is forcing her to stay there and she could choose to live a more private life after this tour is over. In fact many megastars ultimately do choose to tour less, and live more privately, specifically for this reason. Especially once you have your money, respect, and accolades, there's no reason to tour constantly and live such a public life. It is a choice she is making, and one of the results of that choice is that she flies frequently and people note the frequency of her private jet use. Actions, consequences.

She is always free to make a different choice.

Exactly. And I say that as someone who admires Swift's professional success and work ethic. But she does not deserve more privacy on this point than anyone else, I including Elon Musk who I abhor. If you own a private jet and use it, people can find out using public info how and when. It's not a personal attack on Swift.

I'm not sure this is the best strategy for dealing with this guy. The answers is to buy MORE and fly them all at once, kind of like when there are multiple presidential limos in the motorcade. Keeps the bad guys guessing.

If Taylor flew commercial, the complainers would say she’s mucking up the airport traffic and making their flight miserable. She can’t drive all these places (which also causes pollution.) What do they want from her? She’ll probably piss them all off by planting 10 million trees next.
