I've lived here 7 years and never seen any of this...are you in some rural panhandle area? |
| I’m generally pretty numb to the news but the stories about the women missing the abortion ban cut off are really getting to me today. It’s so cruel. |
| Sucks to be a woman in Florida. |

According to Forbes hundreds of thousands of people, obviously many of them women, move to Florida everyday. Clearly many women are happy there. I could be wrong but I don't think most people make home location decisions based on where they can get an abortion easily. I am a Democrat and I am pretty unhappy with our idiot Florida governor and the crap he's doing but I am thankful his days as governor are numbered. Also glad the country saw through him easily when he ran for president. The 6 week abortion law could easily mean the end of him here. https://www.forbes.com/home-improvement/moving-services/annual-moving-trend-forecast/#:~:text=Florida%20and%20Texas%20are%20the,states%20people%20were%20moving%20to. |

nobody thinks they need an abortion, until they do. Of course, a lot of the women who move there are way passed childbearing age, so they don't care. |
| Florida is nice to visit and enjoy the best beaches for 6-14 days. |

Or you could live here and enjoy life everyday while only going to the beach rarely but always having the option. |
| My MIL just quit being a public school teacher in Florida. They made them take a bunch of books out of the library which included Harry Potter and stuff like the Ramona books. They've really killed schools in Florida. |

I think parts of Florida are the opposite of most places in the sense that the politics (and personalities) are more extreme near the coasts.
In Central Florida, long-time residents and worker bees tend to live inland where it's more affordable and the hurricane risk is reduced. |

Agreed. Some of these anecdotes are bizarre. |

The humidity is gross in FL. Bad enough in DC; worse in FL. |
