Well, it is perhaps the greatest school district in the nation especially when you factor in our diversity! |

I thought the innovative school year was a good idea to test when it started. I don't think it was implemented well, though, since the first year was 19-20 and that year ended in COVID, then 20-21 was wonky, and then 21-22 was just easing back into normal, it's hard to say how much was the implementation and how much was circumstances.

| Back to say that any time MC Parents Coalition link is the proof it is immediately a disservice to the cause. The cause may very well be worthy but anything coming from that blog is immediately met with skepticism from me and apparently other parents as well. |

I might not co-sign the last sentence but I tend to agree with the general point. The two pilot schools are some of the neediest in the county, and certainly some of the neediest suburban schools on the East Coast. It is worth trying new approaches, and clearly communicating timelines for evaluating and deciding whether to move forward on a specific pilot. |
This is a moot point since many of the supporting documents are cited and have nothing to do with the Parents Coalition. They are linking to official complaints from parents and teachers that went to the board or MCPS directly. |
| I just don't see the problem here aside from the same people finding things to complain about. |
The Roscoe Nix ES parents and teachers are such complainers! Can't you get them to STFU? Do your PR thing and put an end to them. |
I understand but I think that as soon as this blog takes on your cause it is a hinderance not a help. It gets an immediate eye roll from many. |
Just you. Since you hate parents and teachers, can't you threaten them with sanctions for speaking their mind? Threaten their children's grades? Threaten to transfer teachers? You know, do the old Beidleman moves? You are high up enough in MCPS that you can inflict pain on parents and teachers. |
That's my take too. |
Not sure who you think I am but I am just a mom sitting at a keyboard that many years ago came across the blog. Over the years I have found that it does nothing but complain and nitpick at everything MCPS. Again - I think the person running it may very well have some sort of illness that has her obsessed with finding issue within MCPS. I am by know means saying that MCPS does not have issues but that blog is off the rails and I would not want it to be my mouth piece for any cause. |
Still just a mom? Your kids never grew up? Frozen in time? You've used that shtick before and got caught. If you actually read the blog then you would know that multiple investigations by multiple Inspector General's and other investigations have verified investigations by the Parents' Coalition. Are all the IG's and compliance boards suffering from some sort of illness? But your trolling here is irrelevant to this thread. This thread is about parents and teachers at Roscoe Nix Elementary School and their advocacy. You hate them because? |
| Pretty sure you just made my point… Have a nice night |
