I'm a fed. I'm obese and have elevated cholesterol. My PCP prescribed Wegovy. I have BCBS. It required pre-auth. It's $25/month. |
WW only prescribes. Call your insurance and ask how to get it covered since it appears on the site/brochure that it should be. If your insurance doesn't cover it won't make a difference to pay for the WW clinic. That being said, I'm on Wegovy and on the WW GLP1 plan which helps me track my protein, fruit and veggies and water. |
OP- I've noticed the same thing at my fed office. Women I've known for years, complained about their weight, didn't exercise or eat well suddenly very thin. I didn't see one of them for probably 2-3 weeks and when she returned she was almost unrecognizable. When I asked her what she was doing she said she had joined a support group and when she wants to eat she just texts and can hold back. I call bs and it seems a little disingenuous- why not just share?! Most of us in our 40s and 50s have to work hard to stay somewhat fit- no way you join a support group and 3 weeks later drop 4 sizes! |
I’m shocked that with your clearly judgmental view that she didn’t feel comfortable sharing her medical information with you. |
I’m not telling anyone but yes, you order the drugs off the internet and they melt away pounds. |
So do people lie about their BMIs to get an online prescription? |
Medspa for compounded semiglutide, it’s $250 a week and they do the injection at whatever dose I need. I pay out of pocket.
My PCP told me they wouldn’t prescribe it and I just needed to diet (and sells a diet plan). However I’m prediabetic with other issues and have gained 10 pounds in the last year while attempting to lose weight. The low dose I’m on makes me not very hungry and I’m able to stick to a diet. Hoping that losing slowly will get me in a good routine for maintenance. I decided I wanted to be healthy more than I wanted $12,000 a year. |
You are gross |
Dear OP, I lost 15 lbs and several sizes over the past four months. I hope to lose another 5 or 10. But if you notice me at work, I'm doing it the old fashioned way so don't assume it's Ozempic. |
Yes, or just go to a med spa and they will prescribe to normal weight people as well. |
You can order online from IVIM or HERS for less than $300 a month total. Why pay so much? |
BMI of 27, borderline high blood pressure, my go wrote the rx for Wegovy. $25 copay through insurance |
No one loses that much weight in three weeks. You’re ridiculous! |
Stop lying. Nobody drops 4 sizes in 3 weeks. That is not how it wirks. |
NP, thank you PP and OP for this! Do you need a co-morbidity as well? $200 out of pocket is still really high after paying insurance premiums for 2 decades, and considering the future savings by the insurer from no longer being overweight. I hope it ends up cheaper if you have GEHA's High Option plan. |
